About Love Care Centre

The Love Care Centre, located at 187 Manickavasagam Nagar, Alwarpet, Arpakkam Village, Kancheepuram Dist, is a charitable organization duly registered under a rust Deed as well as declared by the Income Tax Department as a “Charitable Institute” under section 12 AA and 80G. The Institute is dedicated for the cause of givinga new hope, life and future for destitute children. It is registered with the Social Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu (Registration No. 687/04). The Love Care Centre was founded in February 2000 in Chennai to bring destitute and abandoned children into a safe, stable and loving environment.

Sophia Chelladurai is the President & Managing Trustee of Love Care Center and a God fearing,humble mother to all the Children ( Fondly called as “Mummy” by all) Love Care Center unlocks the God-given potential of the most vulnerable children in India, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and become change-makers in their communities through the power of education. Founded in the year 2000, LCC provides homely environment for the children with an atmosphere of hope and self-actualization by providing them adequate institutional care, education, skills, and support to become self-reliant.

The Genesis Of Love Care Center

The Love Care Centre, falling under the purview of the National Institute of Eternal Hope, was formed as a Registered Public Charitable Trust in 2000. Even earlier 1986, the promoters Late Dr. John Chelladurai and Sophia Chelladurai had engaged in looking after discarded children, giving encouragement and support to deserted women and engaging in social and development activities aimed towards providing a future with hope

What is our Intent

Being one of the Trustee, our intent is to create programs that foster improvements in standard of living and also programs that foster self-sustainable communities. Genesis, is most interested in creating systems that lead to self-sustainability of these so called “underserved” populations.
